Here's what you can expect

In an interview with thepier.org, our drummer, Dustin Hall, said this about the upcoming LP:

"This the first album conceived top-to-bottom by all of us with Will in the lineup. In many ways, it’s the first complete iteration of what The Hugeness truly sounds like. This is a rock album. A conceptual rock album at that. So, it’s going to have some weird adventurous shit going on in tandem with the soaring, borderline-ridiculous outros we love to create."

What a pretentious asshole, right?

Anyway...

We should also tell you that the album will feature a full-blown, 9 piece choir. Bam.

But isn't a choir a little old-school? Or maybe too egregious for the discerning tastes of today's progressive rock fans?

Who gives a shit.

Bringing in a choir made us happy for two reasons:

  1. It was a natural progression in our quest for creating the most glorious rock songs imaginable.
  2. It's a fucking choir.

Recording & Mixing

We've completed recording at Sonic Ranch and have also just finished mixing at Mosaic Sound Collective in Austin, TX. Both recording and mixing were done by our dear beloved engineer and nasty mix-master flash, Charles Godfrey.

During our time at Sonic Ranch, we also captured video of the studio performance thanks to the stellar talent of our friend Eddie Kopp from Sugarshack.

Can you believe these goobers actually made a record?

Mastering

Per the recommendation of our Engineer/Mixer, Charles, we chose Dan Shike to master both the full album and instrumental versions of this record...and it was an excellent decision.

Of the 50+ albums all of us have been involved in over the years working with various bands and mastering engineers, this was the first time we've had a mastering engineer totally nail it in the first round! It also helped that the mixes Charles created were incredible and very consistent.

Release Date: Fall 2018

At this point, all we know is we'll be droppin' this saucy rock bomb sometime this Fall 2018.

That's all we know. Seriously. Get off us.
